area = bh/2 = 5(4)/2 = 10

it helps to plot the points, just a rough sketch. the base = 2 --3 = 2+3 = 5, from (-3,1) to (2,1), distance between those two points is the difference in the x coordinates.

the height is the difference in y coordinates from the top point (-1,5) to either of the other points 5-1 = 4
