3x+2 if 1≤x≤4

Find a.f(-1) b.f(0) c.f(1) d.f(3)

f(-1) means f(x = -1). -1 is in the interval -2 ≤ x < 1 which corresponds to f(x) = x³. Plug -1 in for x and compute the answer.

For f(0), what interval is x=0 in? Use the formula for that interval and plug 0 in for x to get the answer. Do the same for f(1) and f(3).
