Shana ran 20 minutes per day for 25 days
= total 1/3 hr x 25
= 25/3 hours
= 8 hours 20 minutes total
Nicole ran 2 hours per week for 3 weeks
= total 2 x 3
= 6 hours total
Nicole is wrong, 25/3= 8 1/3 > 6
UNLESS Nicole meant she ran more miles
Nicole ran less time, but without knowing the speed, we don't know who ran a longer total distance.
Shanna ran 20 minutes per day
Nicole ran 2 hours per week = 120 minutes per 7 days = 120/7 = about 17 minutes per day. By running less time, she might have been less tired and able to run faster, leaving it undetermined who ran the most distance
Another wrinkle in the problem is the numbers reflect 25 days for Shanna and only 21 days for Nicole. If Nicole continued her same pace for another 4 days or 4/7 of a week, she'd run for another 4/7 of 2 hours = 8/7 = 1 1/7 hour. Then her total time for 25 days = 6 + 1 1/7 = 7 1/7 hours, but it's still less than Shanna's 8 1/3 hours in 25 days
Assuming they both ran at the same speed, Shanna ran for a longer time and a longer distance.
