If his father is giving him 150 a day, then it doesn't matter what day it is, he still gets 150. So the summation notation would be:
(from days 1 through day 7, each day he gets 150.) The sum of 7 days is 150+150+150+150+150+150+150 or 1050
If the pay goes up to 200, then just replace the 150 with 200.

Perhaps. I did not read it like that. Although I did consider it. If that is the case then it could be sum from 1 to 7 of (150 + 50(n-1)) or a variation of that depending if you include the 50 on the first day.

Perhaps you misread the problem. The series would be 150 + (150 + 50) + (150 + 2(50)) + ... + (150 + 7(50)).01/11/22
