Integers are just numbers that are positive, negative, or 0. They do not include fractions or decimals. An example of adding integers is - 4 + - 3 = - 7.

Polynomial means "many terms". A monomial has 1 term, a binomial has 2 terms, and a trinomial has three terms. 3x + 2 is an example of a binomial because it has 2 terms. You can add polynomials together by combining like terms. 3x and 4x are examples of like terms because they have the same variables.

(3x + 2) + (4x - 1) = 7x + 1. The constant terms of +2 and -1 are also like terms that can be combined together.
