Equation of line is y = mx + b, where m is the slope and b is the y-intercept
For line y = (3/4)x + 1, 3/4 is the slope
The slope of the line perpendicular to that is the negative reciprocal, or -4/3
Since (6,6) is a point on the line, we then substitute x = 6, y = 6 and m = -4/3 into the y = mx + b equation to determine b:
6 = -4/3(6) + b
6 = - 8 + b
14 = b
so equation of the perpendicular line is y = (-4/3)x + 14
