5f(-3) is the same as saying 5 times the value of the function when x = -3


Start by plugging in -3 wherever there is an 'x' in the function given.


f(-3) = 3(-3)^2 - 7(-3) + 11

= 3(9) + 21 + 11

= 27 + 21 + 11

= 59

Now take the result of 59 and multiply by 5


59 × 5 = 295
