You can eliminate the x variable by doing (1st equation) minus (2nd equation) which will leave you with:
-6y=9
Divide both sides by -6 and you get
y=-9/6 = -3/2
You can now substitute the value of y into any of the 2 equations. Let's do the 2nd one:
3x+2(-3/2)=2 --> 3x -3 = 2 --> 3x = 5
Divide both sides by 3 and you get
x=5/3
So the solution to the system of equations is
x= 5/3 and y =-3/2
