The base (The number raised to the power x) is 0.292. Since it is less than 1, this equation represents exponential decay.
It also matches the formula y = a* (1-r)^x which is the general formula for exponential decay.
To find the percentage change, you would:
- do 1-0.292 to find by how much you decreased from 1 to get 0.292. You will get 0.708
- you then convert that decimal into percentage (multiply the decimal by 100), and you get the percentage rate of decrease.
