28 = t + s
t = s - 20
with systems of equations, you have to write one of your variables (t ) in terms of your other variable (s) and substitute that into your first equation. since t = s-20, we will replace t in the first equation with (S-20). then we solve for S and once we have s, substitute that with the value of s in the first equation to find t!
28 = (s-20) + s
28 = 2s - 20
48 = 2s
s = 24
28 = 24 + t
t = 4
