Hi KK. M!
Thank you for posting a rather thought-provoking question about regionalization and globalization. I understand you are looking for a long and deeper answer, which I would love to give you (feel free to reach out for a session or to chat further!), however for the sake of time and the lack of context, I will explain it simply:
Regionalization, in the sociological definition, is essentially when an idea is extended to only the locale, or location-based public. The word region, as opposed to the word global, is more specific, more limited, and refers mainly to a smaller group.
Globalization, on the other hand, is more when an idea, whatever that may be, is extended to the world at large, on a higher scale. Global can mean universal, it can mean "to everyone on the planet", however you understand it.
To describe the relationship, then, you can consider them almost opposite, for the sake of sociological definition.
Not sure if you're working on an essay question, or multiple choice, but the relationship can be, "opposing" or "counter" relationship, if you will. And yet--it can be dependent, or connected. Again, really depends on context, but hope this helps, even a little!
Wishing you the best of luck!
