Marginal utility is the additional satisfaction one receives from consuming another unit of the good. For instead, if I eat a second slice of pizza, the marginal utility would be how much extra happiness I receive from eating that second slice.
C appears the most logical answer here because a person needs two shoes to wear on their feet. One shoe wouldn't be that useful but two shoes is ideal.
