f(x) = y.
The number that goes between the parenthesis is an x-value (that is why an x is there!)
The number that f(x) equals is a y-value (that is why f(x) = y)
So f(0)=2 means when x=0, y=2. The line has the point (0,2)
f(2) = 4 means that when x=2, y=4. The line contains the point (2,4)
You need to find the slope.
The y-intercept, the value for b, is given (if you look hard enough).
See what you can do from here.
