First, lets find out product of √3 and √9:
√3 x √9 = √27 = 3√3
Now, in order to identify if it is rational or irrational, we should know their meanings.
Rational number is any number than can be written as a fraction where numerator and the denominator are both integers. For example, 35/2 or 7/1
Irrational number, any real number that cannot be expressed as the quotient of two integers.
The product is irrational because 3√3 can not be written as the ratio of two integers.
