There are many ways to graph a line, one of which is slope-intercept form. This is a linear equation (graph of a line) that gives us the slope and y-intercept of the line, hence "slope-intercept" form.
The formula for a line in slope-intercept form is:
y = mx + b
Where m is the slope of the line and b is the y-coordinate of the y-intercept.
We are given that the slope is -3/2, so to find the answer we need to solve for the y-intercept. Since we know that (-10,-3) is a point on the line, we will plug it into the equation to find b.
(-3) = (-3/2)(-10) + b
-3 = 30/2 + b
-3 = 15 + b
-18 = b
So formula for a line with a slope of -3/2 that goes through point (-10,-3) is:
y = -3/2x -18
