Let, number is x and there is number 10 more than this = x+10. product of both these numbers is -25

x (x+10) = -25

x^2+10x = -25 ( distributing x )

x^2+ 10x + 25 = 0 ( adding 25 on both sides)

This is a perfect square trinomial

(x)^2 + 2 (x)(5) + (5)^2 = 0

(x+5)^2 = 0

taking square root on both sides

x+5= 0

x = -5 ( double root )

L=S+10

LS = -25

(S+10)S = -25

S^2 +10S +25 = 0

(S+5)^2 = 0

S+5=0

S=-5

L=-5+10 = 5
