asked 10/01/21Tutoring for a Dyslexic student in College
Needs help with Anatomy and Physiology course. Not sure if she does not understand the material or does it need to be presented in a format she can learn from
OR is it the way the tests are formatted that she cannot be successful taking.

Anatomy and Physiology are difficult subjects with the amount of information and critical thinking skills required. I am sure being dyslexic can be difficult to approach the information. A tutor can ask questions and review the material, doing so will help determine if the student has a knowledge deficit issue. If the student picks up material faster, it can be more so how the student is learning.
Test formatting can be difficult since she does not have direct control over this. I would recommend attending office hours or if there is a tutoring center on campus, there can be accessible resources for her to utilize.
