The printing press primarily enabled advertisements to be printed en masse and these mass produced advertisements would have been circulated widely among towns and villages all over Europe and this wide distribution of adverts would certainly have caught the attention of ambitious and adventurous people which would have brought in many people eager to participate in maritime expeditions all over the world which discovered new continents and made contact with far off peoples.
