OK, you cut a 130 foot long board into three pieces. The two smaller pieces are the same length. Let's call that length x. The longer piece is 10 feet longer, so it's x + 10. The three lengths need to sum to 130:
x + x + (x + 10) = 130
3x + 10 = 130
Solve for x, the length of the two smaller pieces. the largest piece is x + 10 Units are feet.
