What is the most recent research say about explicitly teaching Grammar?

Well.... I was a bit confused by your question. I wasn't sure why you are using the word, "explicitly" in this question and not just asking what the most recent research says about teaching grammar. I don't think that ANY research that I know of has inferred that we should explicitly teach any one area at all! However, teaching grammar is very important. The most recent article about this (that I know of) is in Education Week (June 5, 2021). It is titled, "Seven Strategies for Grammar Instruction." I highly recommend what Mr. Ferlazzo talks about: concept attainment. Good Luck - KM
