First, note that this is a GEOMETRIC SEQUENCE where each value is one-fourth of the previous value. That is, the COMMON RATIO is 1/4.
The first number is: a1 = 4
and each later number is defined in terms of its predecessor: an = an-1 / 4 for n>1
So,
a1 = 4
an = an-1 / 4 ... for n>1
