Above equation is really confusing. I think quation is y=-(x+8)^2+7 changing in standard form.
We know perfect square formula: ( a+b)^2= a^2 + 2ab +b^2 so we will use this formula for (x+8)^2= x^2+16x+64
Y= -(x+8)^2+7= -( x^2+16x+64)+7
Y = - x^2-16x-64+7
Y = -x^2-16x-57 this is quadratic equation in standard form.
