James sold 82 items at the swap meet for a total of 

$504. He sold packages of socks for $6, printed t-shirts for 

$12, and hats for $5. If he sold 5 times as many hats as he did t-shirts, how many of each item did he sell?

h=5t

6s+12t+5h=502

492-36t +12t+25t =502

t= 10 t shirts

h=50 hats

s= 22 socks
