(5,0), (0,2) are two points on a line with slope = m = (2-0)/(0-5) = -2/5=m
general equation is y=mx+b
y= (-2/5)x + b, to solve for b, plug in either point
2 = (-2/5)(0) + b
b =2
y= -2x/5 + 2 is the equation of the line through the two given points,the two intercepts
that's in standard slope intercept form
or you could eliminate fractions
5y =-2x +10
2x +5y = 10 in ax+by = c form
