F=2S the faster torpedo has speed twice the slower torpedo
d=rt = 3450 =r2
distance = rate of speed times time
r= 3450/2 = 1725 km per hour = average speeds of the two torpedoes added together
3450 = 2F + 2S = 2(2S) + 2S = 6S
S = 3450/6 = 575 km per hour for the slower torpedo
F =2S = 1150 km per hour for the fast torpedo
F+S = 1150+575 = 1725
1725 times 2 hours = 3450
in 2 hours the slower torpedo traveled 1150 km
in 2 hours the faster torpedo traveled 2300 km
total distance of both added together = 3450
Fsdf S.
