That's Pope Francis's claim that all dogs go to heaven
If Old Dan is a dog in heaven he is a subset of those in heaven. He is either dog or other people or animals in heaven.
Old Dan may "just" be one of your human relatives, cousins or closer or more distant human relatives, and not a dog. But Dan is safely in heavenly regardless. Dan may be other than human or canine.
Draw a Venn diagram, a rectangle that represents all who go to heaven. Then draw a circle inside the rectangle that represents all dogs. IF you're inside the rectangle doesn't mean you're inside the circle. The circle is a subset of the rectangle.
