y2 [ x d y −y dx ] + x2 [ y d x − x d y ] + d [x y] =0 Now divide by x2y2
[ x d y −y dx ] / x2 + [ y d x − x d y ] / y2 +d [x y] / (x2y2 ) = 0
d [y / x ] + d [ x / y ] −d [(x y )-1] = 0
[y / x ] + [ x / y ] − [(x y )-1] = c
y2 + x2 −1 = cxy
