Also, remember that if you’re confused on using the variables-rewrite your equation. And, then plug in your given values.
d= rt
d/t=r
etc.

Math, microeconomics or criminal justice
if you traveled for 1 hour, you went 50 miles
if you traveled for 2 hours, you went 100 miles
if you traveled for 30 minutes, you went 25 miles
if you traveled for 15 minutes you went 12 1/2 miles
if you traveled for 6 minutes you went 5 miles
if you traveled for 1 minute 12 seconds you went 1 mile
in general you traveled 50t miles where t=time measured in hours or you went 5t/6 where t is measured in minutes
or 5t/360 where t is measured in seconds
in 72 seconds you went 5(72)/360 = 5(2)/10= 1 mile
distance = 5t/360 for t=seconds traveled
=5t/6 for t= minutes traveled
=50t for t = hours traveled
=1200t for t = days traveled (assuming a very large gas tank, no pit stops along the way, and some way to stay awake)

Math and science made easy - learn from a retired engineer
Distance traveled equals the rate multiplied by the time, or d = rt
In this case the rate is given as 50 mph so r = 50.
d = 50t where d is in miles and t is in hours.
