Find the perimeter. Of a rectangle with a length of x+4  and a width of  6x-2

2(x+4) + 2(6x-2) = P

 

2x+8 +12x-4 = P   

 

14x +4 = P

Formula for Perimeter of a rectangle is

2(length)+2(width) or 2(l+w)

 

l=x+4

w=6x-2

 

P=2(x+4+6x-2)

P=2(7x+2)

P=14x+4
