asked 07/29/21Is the relationship shown by the data linear? If so, model the data with an equation.
x y
-7 5
-5 9
-3 13
-1 17
A. The relationship is linear; y-5=-1/2(x+7)
B. The relationship is linear; y-5=2(x+7)
C. The relationship is not linear.
D. The relationship is linear; y+7=1/2(x-5)

Hello Macie.
If the relation is linear then there is constant difference between x values; also there is constant difference between y values
x increase by 2;
y increase by 4;..... then it is linear
you can find slope by difference of y/difference of x = 4/2= 2;
Please look at the answer choices which one gives slope = 2? that is the right answer
hope that helps
