6p +3a = 24

4p +4a =20

we can simplify both equations by dividing firs one by 3 and second on by 4

2p +a =8

p +a = 5 when you multiply second equation by -1; you get -p-a =-5 lets combine them

-p-a =-5

2p +a =8

we get p = 3 one peach is $3.

since p+a = 5; 3 +a =5 and a =2

one apple is $2
