(i have P(x)=0.50x-5....i think thats correct?) B. find the inverse function P-1(X).....(need help on this one) c. what do x and P-1 represent in the context of the inverse function? D. how many glasses must chrissy sell in order to make a 3.00 profit?

b) we have y = 0.5x -5 when you find inverse of a function switch x and y and solve for y;

x = 0.5y -5 (cancel 5)

x+5 = 0.5y (multiply by 2)

2x +10 = y

c) I am not sure what the question refers?

d)y represents profit, x represents number of glass she sells

since profit will be 3, just plug it in

3 = 0.5x - 5 (cancel 5)

8 = 0.5x (cancel 0.5)

16 = x
