For (A), the error is in step 3. Since we have a cube root, you should multiply by y2/y2 instead of y/y, which will give you for steps 4 and 5:
= 2x 3√( 2y2/y3)
= 2x/y · 3√(2y2)
For (B), what is question 1? If you meant question (A), it cannot be simplified anymore beyond step 5.
