Suppose that there are two types of tickets to a show: advance and same-day. Advance tickets cost $30 and same-day tickets cost $40, For one performance, there were 65 tickets sold in all, and the total amount paid for them was $2300. How many tickets of each type were sold?

65 = S+A

2300 = 30A + 40S

65(30)= 30A + 30S

2300-1950 = 10S

S = 350/10 = 35 same day tickets

A = 65-35 = 30 advance tickets

30(30) + 40(35) = 900 = 1400 = 2300
