A garden is rectangular with a width of 14 feet and a length of 10 feet. If it is surrounded by a walkway 2 feet wide how many square feet of area does the walkway cover?

14 x 10 = 140 square feet add 4 to length and width
the walkway plus the garden has an area = 18 x 14 = 252
the walkway has an area = 252 - 140 = 112 square feet
