Child A would be closer to the door. Child A would have moved 18.75 feet and Child B would have moved 4 feet. Child A would be 1.25 feet from the door. Child B would be 16 feet from the door.
Child A: 1st move = 10 feet, 2nd move = 5 feet, 3rd move = 2.5 feet, 4th move = 1.25 feet; Total = 18.75 feet
Child B: 1st move = 1 foot, 2nd move = 1 foot, 3rd move = 1 foot, 4th move = 1foot; Total = 4 feet
