Since point-slope form is y - y1 = m(x - x1), we can start by using the 2 given points along with slope formula to calculate the value of "m". By the slope formula, the slope comes out to be 12/6 or 2. Now we select either of the two given points and insert the x-coordinate in for x1 and the y-coordinate in for y1 and our equation will be complete. Depending on the point you choose to use, the equations will look different, but they will still represent the same line, so our two possible equations are:
1) y - 5 = 2( x - 10) or
2) y + 7 = 2( x - 4 )
