Soo, I'm in ninth grade and I'm a bit stuck on this problem. The word problem is:

For a science project, Billy observed a chipmunk and a squirrel stashing acorns in trees. The chipmunk hid 3 acorns in each tree. The squirrel hid 4 acorns in each tree. They each hid the same number of acorns, although the squirrel needed 2 fewer trees. You are going to investigate the number of acorns that each animal hid.

And one of the questions that follows is to write an equation for it but I'm not sure how. Can you please help me? thank youuuu

This is similar to another persons question but a bit different and don't understand it.
