a line through (3,-8) and (6,-4) has slope = (-4--8)/(6-3) = 4/3
y=4x/3 + b. to solve for b plug in either point. b = the y intercept
-4 = 4(6)/3 + b
b =-4 -8 =-12
y = (4/3)x -12 in slope intercept form, y intercept is (0,-12) x intercept is (9,0)
