3^125 is a very big number
= about 4.366735029 x 10^59 in scientific notation
trying to use a calculator won't help you find the last digit, as most all calculators don't provide answers with that many digits
they may not have a word to describe it like millions, trillions, etc. maybe bazillion? an amorphous number, referring to a very huge number
3^1 = 3
3^2 = 9
3^3 =27
3^4 = 81
3^5 = 243
then the last one's digit repeats, 3,9,7,1, 3,9,7,1
every 4th ending digit is the same
so pick one of the 4 digits, 1,3,7 or 9 and you're about 25% likely to be right
125/4 = 31 with remainder of 1
124 power will end in 1
125 will end in 3
divide the power by 4 and if it divides evenly the last digit is 1
remainder of 1, then it ends in 3
remainder of 2, it ends in 9
remainder of 3, it ends in 7
125 has remainder of 1, so 3^125 is a number whose last digit = 3
