In Savannah's World Religions class Quizzes are worth 15% of the final grade, Exams are worth 55%, Projects are worth 25%, and Attendance is worth 5%.

At mid-semester Savannah scored 124 out of 150 points on quizzes, 79, 89, and 97 on the first three exams,each worth 100 points. She got extra credit on her project with a score of 29 out of 25 possible points, and she had perfect attendance to class. Compute Savannah's grade percentage in the class so far.

Percentages are just decimals. For example, 15% is 0.15

124/150 is her quizzes score percentage which equals 0.8266666

This times 0.15 will give you the total percent of her actual class grade percent. So:

0.15(124/150) + (79 + 89 + 97)/(300) x 0.55 + 0.25(29/25) + 0.05(1) = 0.9498 or 94.98% which doesn't really matter though because it's just a religions class. However, her math grade will likely represent her ability to use math to solve real world problems and produce real world solutions with tangible results.
