Math, microeconomics or criminal justice
d=5+n 5 more dimes than nickels
q =5+d = 5+5+n = 10+n
5 more quarters than dimes,
10 more quarters than nickels
q+d+n = 26.2, replace q with 10+n, d with 5+n
(10 +n) + (5+n) + n = 26.2
3n +15 = 26.2
3n = 26.2 -15 = 11.2
n= 11.2/3
n = 3.7333... nickels
which doesn't make sense as nickels come in whole numbers, integers
but go with it and calculate dimes and quarters
d = 5+n = 8.7333... dimes
q = 10+ n = 13.7333... quarters
add them 3.7333....+ 8.7333....+ 13.7333....
= 3+8+13 = 24
.7333... x 3 = 2.2
24+2.2 = 26.2
= 26.20
possibly there's a misprint or miscopy of the problem numbers
