Manny is fishing from a small boat. His fishing hook is 4 metres below him, and a fish is swimming at the same depth as the hook, 3 metres away. How far away is Manny from the fish?

It's a 3-4-5 right triangle

3 and 4 are two sides with 5 the hypotenuse

d^2 = 3^2 + 4^2 = 9+16 = 25 = 5^2

d = sqr25 = 5 m
