P = 2(L+W)

53 = 2(L+W)

L=2+W

53 = 2(2+W+W)

53 = 2(2+2W)

53 = 4+4W

4W = 53-4 = 49

W = 49/4 = 12 1/4 meters

L = 2+12 1/4 = 14 1/4 meters
