The first 3 problems are similar. Isolate the squared term, take the square root of both sides.
1) 2x2=32 Divide by 2
x2=16 Take the square root of both sides
x=±4 ( there are 2 solutions)
4) 2x2+4x=0 This one is different. You have to factor out the GCF, 2x
2x(x+2) = 0 Set each factor equal to zero and solve
2x=0 Divide both sides by 2
x+2=0 Subtract 2 from both sides.
