Abstract Expressionism is considered to be a celebration of the self due to it's boundless possibilities of creation with zero limitations. The mind, soul, heart of the artist is expressed without regard to what it "should" or "shouldn't" be like, just how we, as humans, should all embrace the uniqueness of being our most authentic selves.
