By simply looking at the directrix, the parabola is open up. Therefore we can use this equation form:
y = 4 p x2
p is the distance from the vertex to the directrix, or from vertex to focus. p has positive value because the parabola is open up.
y = 4 (1/36) x2
y = (4/36) x2
Reduce the fraction:
y = (1/9) x2
