that's at a pace of 1 mile per 42/3.5 minutes or a 12 minute mile. 42/3.5=12

Cindy ran faster, doing an 11 minute mile.

(actually both 11 and 12 minute miles are pretty slow. 5 mph is considered a normal walk. 5 miles in 60 minutes is a 12 minute mile 60/5 =12. It might be more accurate to say Cindy walked faster than Jasmine)
