4x-5y +2 = 0
5y =-4x-2
y = -4x/5 -2/5 slope = -4/5, slope of a perpendicular line is 5/4
y=5x/4 + b. to calculate b plug in the point (-3,-4)
-4 = 5(-3)/4 + b
b =-4 +15/4 = -1/4
b=-1/4
y=5x/4 -1/4 if it also goes through the point, (-5,k) plug that point in to solve for k
k=5(-5)/4 -1/4 = -25/4-1/4 =-26/4 =-13/2
k =-13/2 =-6.5
k=-6.5 It might help to graph the lines and points
