Maron, I typed the answers to your questions below. You will notice that you conjugate the helping verb (HV) do to the simple past for questions and negative statements. When making an affirmative statement, or state something that is true, you only conjugate the main verb (MV) to the simple past.
- It (rained) so we (did not) walk to school.
- (Did) they (travel) with their parents?
- (Did) they have a horse?
- (No), they didn't.
- What time (did) your lessons (start)?
